Constantine P. Cavafy is one of the greatest poets of modern Greece. The poet collected and archived his work on a systematic basis, compilating manuscripts of poems, editions, articles, studies and notes. All this unique material as well as personal objects and artefacts appertain to the poet will be host in a new museum, to open in Athens in 2023. This unique and large-scale project, is realized by the Onassis Foundation.

In the framework of this project, Athens Art Conservation collaborates since 2019 with Cavafy Archives for the restoration of all the artworks, personal objects, and artefacts to be presented in the new museum exhibition and consults the designers, curators, and architects to any kind of technical matters related to the safe collection presentation.
